Building a North
American Union Conspiracy
by Dana Gabriel
The deniers, white
washers, shills, and propaganda masters are purposely misleading the public
into believing that that the North American Union is a conspiracy theory.
Unfortunately, most people are too busy or lazy to care and check it out
for themselves. Some of the articles debunking the NAU do little of the
sort, but even bad propaganda can fool the people. The NAU is being kept
secret in the sense that working groups are meeting without public participation
or knowledge in some cases, and are conducting business without debate
or oversight. Wouldn't the NAU require massive amounts of legislation
with new agencies and institutions having to be created? The whole point
is to bypass this process. It is through these working groups that the
NAU is being formed with unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats assuming
the power. In fact, the only legislation that has been introduced by Congress
or state legislatures is resolutions to block the NAU. The push for total
amnesty, open borders, and the NAU will continue even with the Senate
recently blocking the immigration bill. When one starts to read the documentation
pertaining to the creation of an NAU, they will find out for themselves
that it is much worse than I or others are reporting.
The immigration bill
has been defeated for the time being, but every time it is reintroduced,
it comes closer to passing. President Bush and others attempted to ram
the bill through despite upwards of 70% of the American people being against
it. Perhaps Bush wishes this and a NAU to be his lasting legacy. The bill
contained provisions to help advance the NAU, and it remains to be seen
if he will get another crack at it before his term ends. The plan to eliminate
illegal immigration by erasing our borders is moving forward. Multinational
corporations view borders as barriers to increased profits and envision
a world without them, where an endless supply of cheap goods and labor
is able to move freely. This would require new infrastructure, such as
the construction of the NAFTA Superhighway. Intentionally unsecured borders
with Mexico and the lack of immigration enforcement only helps to advance
the NAU agenda. In time, immigration will become migration if borders
cease to exist.
Trade deals such as NAFTA and CAFTA have further facilitated the freer
flow of goods and people across our borders. They are part of the push
for open borders and the dissolution of national sovereignty. The NAFTA
model has proven to be a failure, and has lead to a race to the bottom
in wages and the destruction of the middle class. It isn't about free
or fair trade, and future deals will continue the exploitation of cheap
labor by corporations with no regard for the workers rights or the environment.
NAFTA has resulted in U.S. trade deficits with both Canada and Mexico
as well as the loss of millions of jobs. It was even suggested by some
that it would slow down the flow of illegal immigration. What a crock
that turned out to be. Trade deals such as NAFTA best serve corporate
interests, and deeper trilateral integration is a stepping stone towards
the FTAA and a Pan-American Union. The proposed FTAA would expand NAFTA
to the rest of the hemisphere. It is more than just a trade deal, but
a system of control which will further empower transnational corporation's
rights. Theses trade deals are helping to bring about a new economic and
political entity while undermining democratic control in regards to domestic
policy making. This will eventually lead to the complete loss of our independence
and our sovereignty forever.
The Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America was signed
by Canada, Mexico, and the United States on March 23rd, 2005. It is an
expansion of NAFTA, and essentially the framework for a NAU. Working groups
are laying the foundation as deeper integration is being achieved without
public review or congressional oversight. Each working group has a counterpart
from the other two nations. There are upwards of 20 working groups and
subgroups, working with over 300 agencies on harmonizing regulations,
writing out policy initiatives and recommendations. The U.S. Department
of Commerce has created a new division to implement the working groups
with the purpose of advancing the NAU. The security aspect of the SPP
is being pursued through the Traveller, Cargo, Aviation, and Maritime
Security working groups. Others include the Law Enforcement, Bio-protection,
Science and Technology, Intelligence Cooperation, Border Facilitation
and the Protection, Preparedness and Response working groups. The prosperity
side of the SPP is being pursued by the Energy, the Manufactured Goods
,and Sectoral and Regional Competitiveness, Environmental and Health working
groups. In addition, there are the Movement of Goods, Food and Agriculture
Systems, Financial Services, and the E-Commerce and Information and Communications
Technologies working groups. Most of their meetings are held in secret
and the majority of the trilateral agreements reached have never been
published. Geri Word, the administrator in charge of the SPP, said of
all the secrecy, we did not want to get the contact people of the
working groups distracted by calls from the public. God forbid that
ordinary citizens would have questions and demand more transparency with
this whole process.
Recently, Canadian pesticide regulations were harmonized with those of
the United States. Canadian, Mexican, and U.S. food and drug regulations
are also being harmonized through the Trilateral Cooperation Charter.
Mexico is spearheading this particular initiative through the Mexico,
United States, Canada Health Fraud working group (MUCH). The North American
Competitiveness Council (NACC) is made up of 30 senior private sector
representatives from all three countries. It is part of the SPP process
providing recommendations on issues such as border regulations, competitiveness
in automotive, transportation, and manufacturing service sectors. The
North American Aviation Trilateral (NAAT) was established to help achieve
the SPP's goals in matters of civil aviation. Here is a quote from a statement
released by the Ministers Responsibility for the Security and Prosperity
Partnership of North America in February of 2007. We have tasked
SPP working groups and coordinators with revitalizing and streamlining
their work plans to ensure that the initiatives are more focused and results-orientated.
On the 20th and the 21st of August, the SPP Summit will be held in Montebello,
Quebec, Canada. The SPP is an ongoing process which is being further fast
tracked, and by all accounts it appears to be on schedule.
Every time I read an article, or comment that the NAU is a conspiracy
theory, I get angry at first because I know a lot of people will be deceived,
but then it motivates me to do even more. The NAU is not just an idea
on paper or simply open dialogue-- it is being implemented right now through
the SPP and the working groups it has spawned. Although we have had our
share of victories, time is short, but we still have a chance to turn
this thing around and stop the North American Union.
